Kurt Warner and the Cardinals played a superb game, but an interception in the endzone that run back for a touchdown by Pittsburgh created a 14 point swing that the Cardinals could not overcome.
Still, the Cardinals were in the lead in the final minutes, only to yield to a drive by Pittsburgh that led to a last minute touchdown.
Now, Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers will go down in history as the winners of Superbowl XL and the Cardinals team will fade into obscurity as the losers.
It is a sad event for Kurt Warner after he led his team for the first time in history to the Superbowl and had victory in their grasp, just to see it slip away.
But it demonstrates the winning spirit of a deserved Superbowl winner. Congratulations Pittsburgh, you have another ring. And thanks to both teams for one of the best Superbowls in history.
