9/26 Obama vs. McCain, Presidential Debate 1, Summary and Analysis, Stop Blaming Corporate America

We are carefully rummaging through the debate at this time and have so far come to the conclusion that little was said in the first round that was all that interesting.  With further analysis, we may be proven wrong, and there could be key items we are missing, so we will try carefully to glean the important points as we watch more closely.

It appears to us that both candidates in this debate spoke of the central problem (which is the economy) with hyperbole and promises rather than practical solutions and explanations.  Neither man gave us the warm feeling in this presentation that they knew how to pay for their programs or tax cuts or how to exactly target our problems.  Obama said he did, but he still didn’t say how other than to say he is going to close loopholes and tax people that make over $250,000.  John didn’t say at all but at least has an energy plan that could work which, if effective, could reverse the trade deficit over time.

We are broke guys.  We have no money.  We cannot promise things to Americans we don’t have.  Got it?

Get America on board!!  Stop pandering to us.  We want a program that treats America as though it were a business.  A responsible business certainly, that cares about its employees and benefits those that work for it.  McCain did speak of rewarding those that perform and holding those accountable that do not.

Overall, we, America, want to make a profit.  Got it?  No more deficits.  No more tax cuts. No more short term solutions that make you look good but that cost billions of dollars we do not have.

Make it freakin’ work again.  Make what work?  America.  Americans will come to the rescue for that kind of plan.  One they can understand.  Make a plan that makes the United States a “profitable” nation so we can build our own Dubai on chump change!!!

Get off the pulpit for a minute and think.  Think like the CEO’s Obama criticizes without giving any thought about all the absolutely phenomenal CEOs that have made this nation great!!  Lee Iacocca, Bill Gates, Steven Jobs, the list goes on and on.  These men either are paid well or were, but they are greats and people to remember for their accomplishments and legacy.  McCain and Obama have made the critical mistake of making the C in CEO stand for criminal.  But every entrepreneur, like Bill Gates or Henry Ford in his garage, has the potential in the US of becoming great.  And there are many fewer criminal CEO’s like Ron Skates of Data General, Dennis Kozlowski of Tyco and Executives of Enron than there are greats and heroes.  The bad seeds exist, but corporate America is huge, and for every low life thief, there are thousands of hard working dreamers and achievers that made their lives and companies into something great.  Blaming every CEO for the wayward few is like blaming our Sun in the billions of stars in the Milky Way for being warm and contributing to Intergalactic warming!

There appears to be a scapegoat game going on, in an attempt to place the culpability at corporate America’s feet for our problems!!  You say you care about middle class America, but there are many aspiring businessmen in the middle class that hope to grow their business and hope to some day make it to Wall Street as a legitimate public company.  Do they want to benefit from their work?  Yes, of course they do!!  Wouldn’t anyone?

Corporate America (Wall Street) is not the criminal; it is a stupid concept.  Don’t many of us, if not most of us, work for public companies?  We are Wall Street?  Main Street is Wall Street or at least they have a major intersection where they flow into each other.  Get it?

Given the latest requirements for oversight on companies, including “Sarbanes Oxley“, many small companies are going bankrupt, and leading companies like Open Pages, Inc, have grown at an astronomical rate, benefiting from demand for software that provides the automation for tracking accountability and corporate controls.  How can two men say how bad governance is, when the fact is that these laws, in come cases, are so stringent, they have placed some small companies out of business due to the expense of the accounting alone, and others have had to severely delay financial reports due to new laws regarding how they report? (See Broadcom, Marvel Communications, etc.).

We are not saying that better governance and regulations won’t help.  We are saying that it tends to fall the hardest on companies that are new and trying to thrive in today’s economy.  So, while Senator  Obama thinks that imposing more regulation is a good thing to protect America, in turn, he has to think about the impact of Sarbanes Oxley on a huge number of small companies that, like so many, are on the brink of success or failure.  Many failed as a result of the cost of more stringent regulation, so you could be damaging the very middle class you claim to be supporting.

Corporate America and its CEOs in general are heroes.  They are men that made it in the battle to forge a successful business.  Some are rogue, but it is not the balance.   Someone has to realize and stand up and ask, if you put Corporate America and its CEO’s out of business by treating them all as criminals, who picks up the slack?  Because they, gentlemen, are making the bulk of the private sector jobs, not you.

Right now, stop your NIMBY policies and the corporate hatred.  Make heroes out of US corporations and honor those that have been successful.  Then they will have an incentive to help us build a better America.  If you continue to chastise them and alienate them, they will continue to seek a way out of the US into other more favorable environments.

Your problems are huge, but Corporate America did not cause it.  Alan Greenspan with his bubble causing interest rates caused this problem combined with a short sighted dependency on foreign oil.  American policies of indefinite spending and deficits caused this problem.  Allowing ourselves to depend on other nations for our primary needs caused this problem.  No more blaming our best achievers in America.  No more making promises that cost billions while we wallow in debt.  No more denying that we consume vastly more resources than we generate, when we need to generate more and consume less.

We cannot consume 24% of the world’s oil and generate a small fraction of that and hope to survive economically.  We have enough resources here to provide all our needs, but we need to take the less ideal path for the short term to deliver the ideal path for the long term.  Energy independence is required as quickly as possible any way we can achieve it, followed by a nation that strives for ecological gains.  We cannot afford the reverse; it will surely put us in the poorhouse.

McCain Versus Obama, The 2008 Presidential Election Debates, The Hard Questions Demand Answers

Have a question for the two candidates? Publish it here by leaving a comment!

The Hard Questions For McCain

  1. Do you feel that Senator Palin is Ready to assume leadership in the Whitehouse as well as Joe Biden?
  2. How can you institute a tax credit on Health Care without just allowing the insurers to raise prices and consume that tax credit instead of the people that are purchasing the health care?
  3. Isn’t taxing health care over a certain dollar amount discriminatory against those that live in areas with a higher cost of living?
  4. How long will we be in Iraq in your eyes?
  5. You speak of a tax cut, but what form will it take and how will it help America?
  6. What is your primary focus on immigration?
  7. Could you explain your privatization plan on Social Security?
  8. If you are elected President, do you plan to reinstate the draft, and if so, under what circumstances?

The Hard Questions For Obama

  1. How do we reduce our dependency on foreign oil ASAP?
  2. How do you roll back Bush Tax Cuts without raising taxes?  Aren’t raising taxes and rolling back tax cuts the exact same thing?
  3. How can you say you will solve Social Security Problems by taxing people a decade from now, when you know you won’t even be in office by then?  Wouldn’t that just be deferring responsibility to your successor?
  4. How do we bail on Iraq without a clear plan.  Isn’t blaming it on the Iraqis who are getting killed, bombed and intimidated by terrorist factions unfair?
  5. What is your primary focus on immigration?
  6. Your program costs equal the entire national deficit.  How will that be paid for?  If you say it is closing loopholes, what loopholes?  If it is taxing people earning over 250,000 a year, can you show us the math on that?
  7. What is your viewpoint on repealing legislation that directly impacts civil liberties, such as the Patriot Act?

CNN’s One Sided Diatribe…”McCain Campaign ‘sleaziest’ in modern history” Obama a Cry Baby!

We have watched the web become a slingshot for the liberal press to fling articles at us bashing the Republicans and anything non-liberal.  Honestly, we expect the web, with outlets like the HuffingtonPuffingtonPost to be completely biased against McCain and anything non-liberal, but CNN has gone overboard with their liberal tactics. They have totally reversed the facts in this article

If McCain or his camp stood up and said these same things after being bashed repeatedly by the Obama camp and the liberal press, CNN would have used a title like, “McCain Can’t Take It”, or “Palin’s Crying Smears Her Lipstick”.  The writers at CNN act like a bunch of children.

They are using a quote from an Obama advisor to state that McCain is dirty in his attacks on Obama?  Fact is,from what we are reading, it is just the opposite.  Throughout our newspapers and all over the web all we see are attacks on McCain and Palin.  We haven’t even decided on who to vote for for president yet, but when we post any article on our website that favors McCain in any way over Obama, even if Obama’s position is a joke, we receive a string of hate mail and insults.  When we criticize McCain, we hear nothing at all.  They (the McCain camp), apparently, can take the criticism and move on while the liberals are apparently a slew of cry babies.

From what we can gather, the liberals believe a criticism of Obama is an attack, but a criticism of McCain is informational.  The comments in the CNN article are bitter and childish and they aren’t being made by McCain or his camp!  They are quotes from Obama and his.  In fact, we can’t find one quote in the article that is a specific McCain attack against Obama, but we see quote after quote of insulting attacks from Obama.

Obama needs to be less of a cry baby and more of a man if he wants to get elected President.   CNN and the other liberal outlets should try it.  A bit of non-biased writing might help their image.

Let us know if McCain calls Obama on being a Muslim and we will believe Obama is more than a cry baby campaigner.  In the meantime, Obama said he was a Muslim all by his lonesome.  He didn’t need McCain’s help.

Sarah Palin’s Daughter, Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, In Scandal Giving Birth To Alien Babies

Today it was confirmed that Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol, is pregnant and is carrying the child of an alien from the planet Neptune. This unacceptable conception could only have occurred if the girl was descended from Republican parents, and this is exacerbated by the fact that the alien is not a Christian and is in favor of the Democratic position of allowing women to murder unborn fetuses for stem cell research!

It has been determined that Bristol conceived the child while abducted and on the alien spaceship, but it is the belief of liberal extremists that her mother should have prevented the act by ensuring she was abducted along with her daughter or traveled to Neptune to purchase her own space ship to protect her daughter by acting as a contraceptive. We agree. Aliens are slimy. You should never leave your daughter alone with one.

Back to reality, we have read so much nonsense online on various blogs and forums regarding Sarah Palin since she got nominated, we are starting to think that if she were black like Obama, they would be saying she got the pigment in her skin by mating with a dry erase marker.

We are getting sick of all the nonsense. What is it about liberals that they have to create so much total idiotic nonsense and innuendo about a person? This is especially true, when most of what we are seeing is written by men accusing a WOMAN of irresponsibility with respect not even to her own body but that of another woman. What would a man know about a woman’s rights to her body? And aren’t liberal men supposedly in favor of a woman having exclusive rights to her body? Apparently not if she is Republican.

One argument we were presented with today was that Palin is an extremist and an evangelical Christian. This man actually stated that it was “hypocritical” of Sarah Palin to have “allowed” her daughter to get pregnant!! Not only didn’t he understand her religious background, he was totally ignorant of women in general and the process of conception. Last we checked, sperm and ova do not check with the grandmother first.

The ignorance is astounding, but what is even more astounding is the length to which these liberal extremists will go. We are seeing claims that are downright idiotic. One claim on the Television Without Pity Forum implied that Sarah Palin should have googled a medical opinion, and disagreed with her own pediatrician’s advice. When another contributor called them on their nonsense, the forum actually suspended the user for defending women’s rights!!

Now, don’t these individuals and liberal outlets understand that if any of what they are trying to claim is true, it would have been revealed already by a number of Republicans in Alaska that were exposed by Palin for illegitimate dealings in the first place? I don’t think they love the fact she kicked their Republican butts!!

Let’s think about the rumors and accusations so far:

1. Palin’s latest daughter is actually the child of her eldest daughter. To believe such stupidity, you would have to believe every doctor and every person they know in the world lied on their behalf. And of course, you have to start getting into the “We didn’t really land on the moon” or “The Holocaust never occurred” mentality, because you are one step away from total stupidity and prejudice.

2. That a photograph of Sarah Palin’s daughter at the proper angle was exclusive and conclusive evidence that her daughter Bristol had been pregnant rather than just having exited an all you can eat buffet.

3. That all the pictures of Sarah Palin pregnant were fabricated. She was carrying a pillow for months apparently.

4. Palin was already pregnant when she got married two decades ago. And what that has to do with this rumor we have no idea.

5. One woman claims to share a doctor with Sarah Palin. She says she thinks the baby is hers because she doesn’t believe their doctor would lie on behalf of Sarah Palin because everyone in town knows that Sarah Palin is insane.

OK, we have had about enough. This is getting so stupid and if the liberal camp, other than the only sane person in it, the Democratic Presidential candidate, does not realize how damaging it can get for the Democratic party falsifying rumors against a woman and her child, we have to believe that McCain will be elected, because Obama will be obliterated due to his association with total imbeciles.

Adam Serwer in the Sewer, Democrats and Obama Attempt the Reverse Racism Card

“I haven’t met her before, she seems like a compelling person. The fact that you’ve got a woman as the nominee, vice presidential nominee of one of the major parties, is one more hit against that glass ceiling,” Mr. Obama said.

Barack Obama does not seem to consider such a comment congratulating a woman for hitting up against their “glass ceiling” sexist. But perhaps he should consider that a black man has never been president, and he has his own glass barrier to break through. Implying that women face any greater a barrier seems to demonstrate a sexist bias towards women and possibly the reason Obama steered clear of Hillary Clinton when choosing his running mate. Perhaps two glass ceilings were one too many?

Geraldine Ferraro, the 1984 Democratic Vice Presidential candidate in the NYT story, terms Obama “terribly sexist.” And, as a result, she says she may not be able to cast her ballot for him. Ferraro went overboard here and we realize that. Obama could have steered clear of Hillary for a number of reasons, like not wanting a name bigger than life on the ticket alongside him or perhaps the vicious battle in the Democratic primary between the two. But when Democrats attack Republicans as sexist for choosing a woman as a Vice Presidental candidate, we cry foul.

Adam Serwer, an Obama supporter, but ultimately a nobody, took reverse sexism to a peak. Adam spoke out.

“Palin’s addition to the ticket takes Republican faux-feminism to a whole new level.” As Adam Serwer pointed out on TAPPED, “this is in fact a condescending move by the GOP. It plays to the assumption that disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters did not care about her politics — only her gender. In picking Palin, Republicans are lending credence to the sexist assumption that women voters are too stupid to investigate or care about the issues, and merely want to vote for someone who looks like them. As Serwer noted, it’s akin to choosing Alan Keyes in an attempt to compete with Obama for votes from black Americans.”

No Mr. Serwer, we believe it is people like you that clearly demonstrate your sexism and clear misunderstanding of what is intelligent. Are you saying that anyone that selects a woman as a candidate is condescending towards women unless that person is a Democrat? Women are being played for stupid, according to Mr. Serwer, because of course a woman should not have been selected, and women would be too smart to think a woman deserved to take office if not selected by Obama?

Serwer took the selection of a woman by the Republicans and made it all about gender in his attack, and it was shameful. According to his own writings Mr. Serwer is sexist and racist as well. He appears to think that any selection of a black man would be racist if not selected by a Democrat, and blacks would be therefore stupid to assume any black man should assume office if he were not a Democrat. Serwer has resorted to the sewer of commentary.

We are hoping that Mr. Serwer is not a sexist or a racist and suggest he resort to proof-reading his articles before he prints them. They insult both women and black men that do not agree with his politics.

Barack Obama Discards Women’s Rights, John McCain Embraces Them

In an unexpected turn of events, Senator Barack Obama, instead of choosing the best woman in the nation for a running mate, selected a man, Joe Biden. He slighted women in this action and he made light of Hillary Clinton’s strong following.

Hillary was gracious at the convention and supported Obama despite his inability to understand what he had done. Perhaps it is Obama’s sexist background that led him to the decision.

Senator John McCain selected Sarah Louise Heath Palin, the current governor of Alaska. She was the first woman to ever be elected to the governorship in Alaska, and she is the first female vice presidential candidate of the Republican Party.

We see this as a brilliant move by McCain. Sarah Palin is 44 years old, a great leader, with five children. She has an unheard of approval rating as governor that is the highest in Alaska’s history and in the 90s!! And it was her stand against a Republican establishment for unethical dealings in Alaska that won her that governorship, so this is hardly a partisan choice.

Obama made all the polite hypocritical comments we would expect to the press, while he immediately had his campaign take a swipe at Palin’s experience. Talk about calling the kettle black!! We think the Obama camp better wake up and start treating women with respect. Or his election in November is anything but guaranteed.

US WINS GOLD in OLYMPIC HISTORIC EVENT! NBC Fails To Medal. Bryan Clay, #1 Hero of the Olympic Games!!

Poorest Coverage Of Decathlon EVER!

W e have often been amazed at how a single man can perform so many feats and get such a small reward. In the decathlon, a man must perform 10 events, and the grueling preparation to do it all is mind-boggling. As one man runs 100 Meters for a medal, the decathlete must compete in 10 grueling events to get the same reward.

There was a time when coverage of the Decathlon was quite good, but NBC dropped the ball this year showing just small snippets and then the final crossing of the finish line in the 1500 Meter that sealed the Gold for America.

Bryan Clay is a most handsome young man, and a true American, proud of his accomplishments, and yet American Television gave his efforts the slightest of coverage as he took the Gold in the most punishing event in the Olympics.

Not only did he do so, but this was historic. He was the first in 12 years to reach this accomplishment, and yet we in America received better coverage of Canoe Races and Ping Pong (Is that even a sport, c’mon) than we got of this great American.

Clay, in an interview said, “I’d love for this to be a spark for the decathlon and bring it back to the forefront of track and field”. Bryan, we would just like to see some respect for your efforts by American Television who would rather cover Chinese “Balls Of Fury” than American historic Gold!

Frank Zarnowski, a decathlon historian, stated, “He smashed them! He mastered the conditions, something that no one else there could handle.”

Bryan is an American Champion and our choice for Olympic Hero of the entire games. Step Aside Michael Phelps.

NBC is our choice for the Gold for Olympic opportunist with the least insight into America or what is important in our eyes or the games, and with more insight into how to sell commercials.

We hope Fox will get the Olympics next time around in 2012. They do everything better than NBC.

BRYAN CLAY, THE GREATEST ATHLETE IN THE WORLD!!
