When it comes to melting Amex cards, few do it better than the celebs we all love to resent with every fiber of our being. While we’re over here pinching pennies so that we don’t have to start eating cat food, they’re out living painfully lavish lives just ’cause.
Before we get into the thing that’s going to make you throw any hope you had left to the wind, let’s think for a moment about what someone could buy with, say, $800.

Am I bitter? Absolutely! Do I wish that I was in a financial position that made spending $800 on leisure clothes seem like a good idea? Yup. Sadly for me (and basically everyone else), that’s probably not in the cards. If you need me, I’ll be in the throes of an existential crisis or something.

Celebrities are talented, celebrities are rich, and more often than not, celebrities are confusingly beautiful. While we’re all fascinated by their skills on the stage and screen, there’s no avoiding the fact that we’re also totally transfixed by their million-dollar faces.
And one Photoshop mastermind who goes by the name of Gesichtermix is no different. This artist’s incredible celebrity face mashups are unreal. We’ve all seen shoddy attempts at the elusive celeb mashup, but these are seriously masterful. Before scrolling to the bottom of each photo, try to guess which two beautiful faces are at play.
Ewan McGregor and Colin Firth
Kevin Spacey and Robert De Niro
Taylor Swift and Emma Stone
Mike Myers and Henry Cavill
Benedict Cumberbatch and Christoph Waltz
Ben Affleck and Daniel Day-Lewis
Jennifer Lawrence and Claire Danes
Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson
John Travolta and Tom Cruise
Rihanna and Katy Perry
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone
Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama
Robert Downey Jr. and Robbie Williams
Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez
If you only got one of these, it was probably this. Poor Hillary.

How many did you get? They’re pretty amazing, right? Gesichtermix is the best, so be sure to keep up with these mashups on Instagram and Facebook!

Are these celebrities time travelers or do they just have random historical doppelgangers? Like all people who came before us, there have to be some repeats. If you looked at enough old pictures, you’d probably find someone who looked like you. After all, there can only be so many unique faces, right?
I suppose it makes sense that those popular and powerful enough to have their likeness captured by a camera look like the folks who make their livings in front of one. Check out these celebrities and their historical doppelgangers!

Those are all pretty spot on. You know what? I’ve changed my mind; they ARE time travelers. That’s got to be it.
