We Love Movies, But Most Movie Posters Are Lame. This Artist Is On A Mission To Change That.

We recently featured a lot of artists who work to cleverly redesign movie posters. However, they all pale in comparison to Jaemy Choong.

Choong is a Malaysia-based designer who mashes-up official movie posters with the real world. The results are a whole new level of quirky. Just wait until you see his take on The 40-Year-Old Virgin. It’s pure genius.

1.) Alice in Wonderland (2010).

2.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014).

3.) The Shining.

4.) The Silence of the Lambs.

If Movie Posters Were Totally Honest, I Would Never Have Seen These 15 Films.

I have a lot of respect for the people who market major movies, because they’re very good at their jobs. It doesn’t matter how objectively terrible the film is, they always find a way to put butts in the seats.

Sadly, the movies usually don’t live up to the hype that the marketing folks planted in your brain. Maybe they can learn a little something from these more honest rewrites of big Hollywood movie posters.

1.) “Frozen.”

2.) “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

3.) “The Hobbit.”

4.) “Conan the Barbarian.”

5.) “Rambo.”

6.) “All Is Lost.”

7.) “Battle: LA.”

8.) “The Dark Knight Rises.”

9.) “Gravity.”

10.) “Inception.”

11.) “Django Unchained.”

12.) “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

13.) “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.”

14.) “Gran Torino.”

15.) “Les Miserables.”

… well, that’s about right.

That honest poster for the last Indiana Jones movie is spot on. How did Lucas think that would be a good movie? Share these honest movie posters with your friends on Facebook, and see what they think.
