2nd Chance to Audition. SYTYCD Doubles Down with Summer and Fall Shows!

Season 5 just premiered May 21st but So You Think You Can Dance announces its new season coming this Fall! Does this mean Fox is out to compete with ABC’s Dancing with the Stars’ Fall shows? It is going to be an interesting battle.

UPDATE: We just caught this on Nigel’s Twitter:

“The reason SYTYCD is following itself in September is Fox wants to move it to Fall so next year you will only get 1 Season.”

Oh boy, and we were so happy with the thought that there’ll be 2 seasons each year! I guess it would be too taxing for everyone on the show especially the choreographers if they have to create new original choreographies for 2 seasons. That clears it though. Next year, SYTYCD will be in the Fall. How are they doing the tour though? in the Spring?

For those who missed out on the casting call for this season’s SYTYCD, here’s your shot to becoming America’s Favorite Dancer.

Put on those dancing shoes or go bare! Hit any of these audition venues near you. Season 6 shows will air in the Fall.

AUDITION SCHEDULE* Doors open at 8:00am. Be prepared to stay for an extra TWO DAYS for potential callbacks.

Dancing With the Stars Winter Live Tour Full Schedule

Dancing with the Stars is bringing together 4 Stars and 10 Professional Dancers in a live tour all across North America in 38 days covering 37 cities beginning December 17, 2008 in California and culminating in Pennsylvania on February 8, 2009.

If you’re a fan, this is your chance to see the cast perform the show’s highlight of dances- unfortunately, you won’t get to see 2008 reigning champion, Brooke Burke in the tour.

The Cast

Lance Bass, Maurice Green, Toni Braxton and Marlee Matlin are the only stars performing. Multi-Grammy winner Toni Braxton promises not only to dance but sing her biggest hits as well. That should be a treat for the aficionados! We wonder if N’Sync member Lance Bass is singing too?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy leads the cast of professional dancers alongside Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Kym Johnson, Alec Mazo, Fabian Sanchez, Edyta Sliwinska and Karina Smirnoff- all of whom are stars in their own rights.

New this season Lacey Schwimmer, best known as a reality TV contestant herself from Season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) completes the roll. She is expected to attract not only DWS fans but fans of SYTYCD as well. She will be a refreshing addition to the tour with her unique style and choreography.

The Presidential Debates 2008… When Are They? Full Schedule.

The schedule for the debates between Senators McCain and Obama are below:

Sept. 26, University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss.

Oct. 7, Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.

Oct. 15, Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

The Vice Presidential debate between Governor Palin and Senator Biden will be on October 2 at the University of St. Louis.

Each debate will be 90 minutes in length and begin at 9pm Eastern time.

If you are not sure of what channel to watch them on, they will be hard to miss.  Just flip the channels and you will find it.  Chances are, if you aren’t watching HBO, ShowTime or another movie or specialty channel, you will be watching the debate.

We were hoping, but it won’t be in 3-D this year.  They didn’t even make a special version for IMAX!  Go figure.

Please be sure to read the articles on the issues so you are prepared for the likely questions in this one.  We are expecting a heck of a show!

And check back, we will be making up a list of key questions for the candidates we feel need to be covered in the debates. FIND OUR QUESTIONS HERE. You can add your questions in the comments section and WE WILL ADD YOUR QUESTIONS!! They can cover both sides of any issue and be directed at either candidate.

The SYTYCD Top 10 Perform Live in a City Near You…

The teaser on its official website reads:

“Don’t miss your only chance to see this season’s talented dancers performing their hottest routines, in hip-hop, contemporary, ballroom, tango, mambo, and salsa.”

We say YES, to that! Tickets go on sale August 2nd, 2008. Tickets run fast! Save the date!
