formal dance training: trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop! I have had the most training in, and have studied mainly Modern Dance and Ballet.

SYTYCD dream partner: tWitch or Will Wingfield! They are both such hard workers and amazing dancers and it would be an honor to dance with either of them! I love them as performers!
SYTYCD dance inspiration: I have been the most inspired by Katee Shean. We grew up together and went to the same dance studio and so when I saw her on the show, it made me realize that it was possible and within my reach to make it on to SYTYCD and follow my dreams. She was always my role model growing up and so seeing her on my favorite show made me inspired by her that much more.

Ryan Ramirez is pursuing her dream of becoming a well-known dancer and choreographer. She has been dancing since she was 4 years old and choreographing since age 11. Dance is her language, and she is the happiest and most free when she is performing.

Previous job: have been teaching ballroom dancing at studio “Ballroom Off Fifth” since 2003.
other training/talents: I draw, design dance costumes, teach dancers how to do competition hair and makeup, and do graphic design for advertising, business cards and photos.

started dancing at age: 6

formal dance training: started training in Ballroom at the age of 6, and over the last few years have taken Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop.

A native of Eastern Europe, Iveta Lukosiute moved to the U.S. in 1997. She has been dancing since she was six years old.

School: currently not in school, but attended the University of Guam for one year.

Previous job: currently work for a fitness gym, in the child care center, playing sports and working with kids from six months to twelve years old. also work for three dance companies as a party motivator. Additionally, teach at a dance studio as a dance instructor.
other training/talents: draw, write poetry and music, parkour/freefun, skateboard and snowboard.

started dancing at age: 12

formal dance training:a self-taught BBoy and Hip Hop dancer. have about three months worth of formal Contemporary training at a dance studio and about one month of Ballet.

Wadi Jones was born in St. Ann’s, Jamaica, and moved to the U.S. in 1988 at age 3. A dancer for nearly fourteen years, his specialties are Hip-Hop and Breaking. He is passionate about art, poetry and music, and he is inspired by his older brother and the example he set for him.

School: currently attend California State University, Long Beach.

Previous job: teach at West Coast School of the Arts and help with choreographing for three years and I have also been teaching technique classes at Onstage Dance Center for three months.

other training/talents: Every November I volunteer to perform in a play in which I Aztec dance.

started dancing at age: I began taking dance classes at age 2, but began to dance around the house soon after I learned to walk.

formal dance training: began dance classes at age 2 through age 8 at Belinda’s Dance Studio. Trained at Anaheim Ballet for about five years. Trained at West Coast School of the Arts for ten years. I am trained in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop.

Clarice Ordaz is a student at California State University, Long Beach. She has trained in many styles of dance since age two.

SYTYCD 8 Profile Spotlight: Marko Germar

Name: Marko Germar
Nickname: Kimboy
Age: 22
Dance style: Jazz
School: currently not in school, but attended the University of Guam for one year.

Previous job: works at Disneyland as a dancer for the show “Aladdin” The Musical Spectacular. I have been working there for about a year and seven months.
other training/talents: trained in tumbling and gymnastics. Technically, I’ve only had one year of training in an actual gymnastics gym.

started dancing at age: age 7 as a street Hip-Hop dancer where I learned most of my tricks on concrete.

formal dance training: nine years of training in a dance studio in Guam called DANZJAZZ starting at the age of 10. I trained in different styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Ballroom and Gymnastics. I did not train in all of those styles for nine consecutive years due to the lack of instructors on the island and the lack of money to pay for classes, but my dance teacher C’zer Medina was always very helpful and generous to offer me a work study program wherein I cleaned and worked the desk for classes.

Wants to work with Choreographer/s: Travis Wall and/or Mia Michaels because their movement is so organically expressive and full of honesty and truth. The type of movement that will teach you more about yourself than anything else.
SYTYCD dream partner: Kathryn McCormick or Alison Holker because they are both such strong dancers with such strong expressive presence. It would be an absolute honor to share the SYTYCD stage with them and tell a story.
SYTYCD dance inspiration: …Blake McGrath and Travis Wall because when they dance, nobody else matters. Not only are they strong dancers, but also strong story tellers with honest movement. They know how to put themselves in any position or situation that a choreographer asks for and do it beautifully without forcing anything.

Originally from the South Pacific island of Guam, Marko Germar moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue a career in dance. In addition to nine years of studio training, he is now able to learn from a variety of choreographers as part of the SYTYCD family and live his dream.

School: was at Richland Community College taking some basic classes, but took off this past semester to work on dancing in hopes of making Season 8.
Previous job: Dance instructor at Denton Dance Conservatory and Revelation Dance Studio. I’m also a Lead Party Dancer for different DJ companies.
other training/talents: In High School, participated in musicals, enjoyed dirt bike and trail bike riding. can also wiggle his ears and is really good at checkers.
started dancing at age: Around age 14, but got serious around age 17
formal dance training: had training in Hip Hop under Fenton Fulgham for two years. have also taken some Jazz, Ballet and Ballroom classes

SYTYCD dance inspiration: Phillip (Pac Man) Chbeeb. His style is amazing. He is very different and is more intricate with his movement than any other Hip Hop dancer on the show.

Chris Koehl lives in his hometown of Garland, TX. He began teaching himself Hip-Hop at 14 years old. Over the past few years, he has divided his time between training at local studios, in college classes and teaching dance.
